Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written tasks and safety instructions delivered in English
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED), valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 40lbs, ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, experience with or ability to learn Microsoft Office and iOS devices for data collection
• Past pesticide application experience is desirable but not required

Responsibilities

• Receiving shipments and supplies, scanning, cleaning, treating, sorting, shelling or counting seed, data collection using electronic devices, data labeling, and warehousing seed work
• Working in cold room storage
• Individuals may also be responsible for the operation and preventive maintenance of equipment in assigned areas
• Assisting with planting, staking research plots, pollinating, data collection using electronic devices, research plot maintenance, hand harvest, process improvement projects, preventive maintenance of equipment, aiding with spraying, and other special projects
