Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Scientist or Geologist to lead sediment remediation projects for federal and public-sector clients. You will contribute technical expertise and manage teams of engineers and scientists to deliver robust remediation designs and evaluations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with sediment transport principles, regulatory programs, and communicating complex findings to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related experience.
• Experience leading sediment remediation projects for federal/public clients.
• Ability to communicate complex technical evaluations to clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate feasibility of sediment remediation technologies and designs for various sites.
• Understand sediment transport, site assessment, sampling, cap modelling, dredge approaches, remedial design.
• Support statistical evaluations of environmental data sets.
• Serve as task manager on sediment projects, communicating strategy to clients.
• Lead staff in preparing technically sound documentation compliant with regs.
