Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Transit Protection Officer Flex.Security Officer to conduct armed and/or unarmed patrols in transit environments. Duties include control of access, CCTV monitoring, report writing, and deterrence of criminal activity, with possible irregular shifts and all post orders.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid guard card, and potentially state/local licensing. Prior law enforcement/military experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess one or more of the following: MOS related to law enforcement or security, CP Safety Academy graduate, or 8+ years military service.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Guard card is required.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
• Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and console monitors.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with the public and communicate effectively.
• Problem solving, listening, and situational assessment skills.
• Teamwork and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular conditions creating security concerns or hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police/fire when needed.
• Grant access and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe personnel to protect company property and ensure proper removal.
• Investigate incidents and prepare written reports.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously.
• Make emergency notifications per site orders.

Job Description

Allied Universal® is hiring a Transit Protection Officer Flex Security Officer. The Transit Protection Officer Flex Officer will conduct armed and/or unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior). Additional duties include control access and egress; monitor CCTV and alarm systems; compose reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct. The Transit Protection Flex Officer will work at various assignments and may be called upon to work irregular shifts at times with little to no advance notice.

Must have prior Law Enforcement or Military to qualify!!

Payrate $24.81 per hour

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
• Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
• Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders

Qualifications (must Have)

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess one or more of the following
  • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
  • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement
  • A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
• Be at least 21 years of age, or higher
• Guard card is required.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
• Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
