Job summary

Culmen International, LLC is seeking Security Training Instructors (STIs) to build a nationwide pipeline to support TSA Screening Partnership Program Task Orders at commercial airports across the United States.

You will deliver and manage TSA-required screener training while maintaining proficiency and compliance. Work closely with Culmen leadership and TSA training counterparts to ensure consistent, compliant instruction.

Qualifications

• Must satisfy applicable TSA requirements for STI qualification and certification.
• Experience providing adult-learning classroom instruction or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of security screening procedures and training principles.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work irregular schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. National and able to satisfy TSA background requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver TSA-approved initial, recurrent, remedial, return-to-duty, and specialized training.
• Complete and maintain required TSA instructor and screener certifications.
• Conduct passenger and baggage screening to maintain proficiency and certification.
• Deliver classroom, practical, and on-the-job training per TSA requirements.
• Evaluate student performance and identify training gaps.
• Coordinate remedial training after deficiencies or SOP non-compliance.
• Maintain training, certification, and compliance records.
• Work with supervisors to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support Assistant Training Instructors and OJT coaches where applicable.
• Maintain a professional, learner-focused environment.

About the Role

Culmen International is building a nationwide pipeline of qualified Security Training Instructors (STIs) to support future TSA Screening Partnership Program Task Orders at commercial airports across the United States.

STIs will deliver and manage TSA-required screener training while maintaining operational screening proficiency. They will work closely with Culmen operational leadership and TSA training counterparts to ensure Transportation Security Officers receive consistent, compliant, and effective initial, recurrent, remedial, and operational training.

What You'll Do in Your New Role

Deliver TSA-approved initial, recurrent, remedial, return-to-duty, and specialized screening training.

• Complete and maintain required TSA instructor and screener certifications.
• Conduct passenger and baggage screening as required to maintain operational proficiency and certification.
• Deliver classroom, practical, and OJT-related instruction consistent with TSA requirements.
• Evaluate student performance and identify individual or systemic training gaps.
• Coordinate remedial training following performance deficiencies or failure to adhere to screening SOPs.
• Maintain accurate training, certification, and compliance records.
• Work closely with operational supervisors to identify trends, screening weaknesses, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Support Assistant Training Instructors and OJT coaches where applicable.
• Maintain a professional, learner-focused environment emphasizing security effectiveness and customer service.

Required Qualifications

• Must satisfy applicable TSA requirements for STI qualification and certification.
• Experience providing adult-learning classroom instruction, formal instructor training/certification, or equivalent instructional experience.
• Strong knowledge of security screening procedures and operational training principles.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work irregular schedules, including weekends and holidays, as required by airport operations.
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. National and ability to satisfy applicable TSA background and suitability requirements.

Desired Qualifications

• Current or prior TSA/Security Training Instructor qualification.
• Current or prior Level II TSO certification.
• Experience delivering TSA nationally developed training.
• Experience with remedial training, OJT, training quality assurance, and learning-management systems.
• Formal instructor or adult-learning certification.
