Job summary

SLI Compliance seeks a Security Specialist to execute day-to-day security test engineering services for voting and health IT products. The role covers security test planning, lab management, and implementation of security controls across Windows, Linux, and Unix environments.

You will translate client security needs into actionable plans and drive compliant testing with formal procedures. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in enterprise security, CISSP/SANS certs, and a track record in security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, CIS or engineering (4-year) preferred.
• 5+ years in enterprise security including encryption, network security, risk analysis.
• 3+ years in software development and installation
• 3+ years as Security Consultant in IT software industry
• (ISC)2 CISSP and/or SANS equivalent certification required
• Knowledge of NIST CSRC and FIS standards
• Ability to configure diverse OS environments (Windows, Linux, Unix) and LAN/WAN setup
• Ability to present professionally at seminars, client meetings, conferences
• Ability to translate security needs into tasks, hardware list, schedules and test cases

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day security test operations
• Ensure quality and repeatability of testing activities
• Maintain lab procedures and test methods
• Enforce SLI procedures and tooling usage
• Research security test engineering best practices and tools
• Coordinate with Director and QA Manager on policies and improvements
• Stay current with vulnerabilities and regulations affecting voting and health IT security
• Maintain hardware and software used for testing
