Job summary

Logicalis in Tempe, AZ is seeking a hands-on technician to install, modify, repair and maintain commercial Physical Security systems under supervision. You will survey installation areas, wire and program devices, and work with Bosch, Verkada, Panasonic, Milestone and Meraki products to deliver integrated security solutions.

The role requires on-site work, some overtime or on-call status, and adherence to safety standards and local codes.

Summary

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Installs, services, tests, troubleshoots, or programs numerous Security Systems including: Bosch, Verkada, Panasonic, Milestone and Meraki.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Makes minor programming changes under direction of engineer or programmer.
• Demonstrates job site leadership; acts as customer liaison in absence of Project Manager.
• Performs client training as needed.
• Fills out and communicates all required paperwork each day prior to leaving job site; responsible for job documentation as needed.
• Performs all tasks required on site to complete entire scope of work committed to customer.

Installation Of The Following

• Cameras (wall or ceiling mount)
• Door access control
• Flat panel displays (wall or ceiling mount)
• Structural mounting and rigging
• Rack fabrication and equipment staging
• Enhanced Category 5, Category 6 and Fiber Optic Structured Cable Distribution Systems, mounts and necessary hardware
• Recording programming to include IP’ing cameras and servers
• Works in teams or independently to integrate various low voltage systems and complete commercial installation and service projects.
• Attends training and safety meetings. Works safely at all times utilizing necessary Personal Protection Equipment.
• Attends and learns from provided training to keep certified and knowledgeable of all required product lines.
• Maintains and references industry standards including ANSI, EIA/TIA, and local and National Electric Code.
• Performs work in retrofit and new construction environments; implements cut-overs.
• Demonstrates and actively promotes an understanding and commitment to the mission of Logicalis through performing behaviors consistent with the organization's values.
• Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations as well as policies and procedures of Logicalis in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behaviors

Experience / Technical Requirements

• Knowledge (or ability to quickly learn) converging technologies (Video over IP).
• Knowledge of security camera installations and access control.
• 3 years' experience in communications infrastructure installation (fiber, copper, coax, hybrid).
• Successfully completed InfoComm Quick Start to Audiovisual Industry and OSHA 10-Hour Construction Course.
• Proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications.

Hourly Compensation Range

$25/hr. to $30/hr.
