Job summary

Johnson Controls in New York City is seeking a Security Operations Manager responsible for coordinating people and materials to install Security & Life Safety Systems within the NYC territory, including video surveillance, fire alarm, and access control projects.

You will plan and supervise installations, confirm equipment procurement, and maintain documentation, while developing workforce capabilities and ensuring on-time, safe, and high-quality job performance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent 2-year electronic trade school training.
• Minimum 3-5 years of electrical/electronic installation experience.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to manage installation work in a structured, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Assign and coordinate people and materials to support installation of Security & Life Safety Systems within the territory.
• Plan, schedule, supervise, and control installations to meet customer commitments.
• Confirm equipment procurement and ensure materials are available as needed.
• Prepare progress and expense reports and related documents on time.
• Evaluate system performance to maintain reliability and minimize malfunctions.
• Maintain knowledge of current security and life safety standards and developments.
• Keep associates and customers informed of industry changes affecting installation work.
• Develop workforce size and capability to handle subscriber workloads.
• Build team readiness for successful job performance and installation requirements.
