Position Overview

We are seeking a Security Systems Engineer 3 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. This role supports the design, implementation, and sustainment of enterprise-level physical security and IT systems across federal, local, and commercial customers. It requires collaboration with Design, Install, and Operations & Maintenance teams to install, configure, test, and maintain security systems while ensuring compliance with government security standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and remediate complex system availability, performance, and information assurance issues in a dynamic, always-on, mission- critical environment.
• Assist with analysis, evaluation, engineering, and implementation of system improvements, automation, optimization, and deployments.
• Document designs and changes to infrastructure environments, including physical/logical drawings, engineering design plans, implementation plans, transition plans, test plans, fail‑over plans, and standard operating procedures/playbooks.
• Perform security updates to hardware and software to maintain the security posture across all managed systems.
• Research, prototype, and develop emerging technologies in collaboration with industry partners and OEMs to implement the latest capabilities that meet customers’ emerging needs.

Qualifications

Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship. Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI is required.

• Education: Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline or Information Technology degree.

  • Access Control Systems (e.g., CCURE 9000, Lenel OnGuard)

  • Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems (e.g., Senstar, Southwest Microwave)
  • Other electronic security systems (e.g., Zenitel, Gatekeeper, HID, CertiPath, D3)
  • Hypervisors (everRun, VMware ESXi, vSphere)
  • Microsoft Windows Server (2016‑2025) deployment and administration
  • Microsoft Windows 11 deployment and administration
  • Windows Server features (DNS, DFS, DHCP, KMS)
  • Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Data‑center networking fundamentals (software‑defined networks, hyperconverged storage)
  • Experience building secure, reliable solutions that meet all cybersecurity and information assurance requirements
  • Security scanning, system updates, and configuration (DISA STIG/SRGs)
  • Data center automation, IaaS, API management, scripting (PowerShell, Python, JSON, Bash)
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills; experience communicating with executive leadership
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives
  • Advanced MS Office and Visio skills (plus)
• Desired/Advantageous Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining SQL database infrastructure (Microsoft SQL Server)
  • Experience engineering platforms and services in a software‑defined network environment

Pay Range
