Job summary

Loews Miami Beach Hotel is seeking a proactive Security Supervisor to lead daily security operations, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for guests and Team Members in a premier oceanfront resort.

You will supervise the security team, conduct inspections, coordinate with local authorities, and implement robust safety protocols while maintaining exceptional guest service standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in security management or a related role.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and emergency response procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Certification in security management (e.g., CPP).
• Experience in hospitality or resort security.
• Familiarity with surveillance systems and security technology.
• Proficient in conflict resolution and crisis management techniques.
• Previous experience collaborating with law enforcement agencies.
• Multilingual abilities to enhance communication with diverse guests.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily security operations to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
• Monitor surveillance systems and conduct regular property inspections.
• Lead, train, and mentor security team members, fostering professionalism and accountability.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and guest concerns with effective solutions.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency response teams as needed.
• Conduct thorough investigations of incidents and prepare detailed reports for management.
• Implement and enforce security protocols, policies, and procedures to protect guests and property.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless communication regarding safety issues.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
• Organize and conduct security drills and training sessions to enhance team preparedness.
• Maintain accurate records of security activities and incidents for compliance and accountability.
• Stay updated on current security trends and best practices to continually improve operations.
• Assist in developing a comprehensive risk management strategy for the resort.
• Regular attendance in conformance with standards.
• May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
• Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
