Job summary

Caesars Entertainment is seeking a Security Supervisor to oversee daily Security Department operations at the Danville location. You will act as Commander in the absence of the Security Manager and support daily operations, ensuring policy compliance and adequate staffing.

You will review schedules, inspect officers, coordinate training, and prepare safety reports. The role requires at least 3 years of supervisory security experience, strong leadership, and the ability to work evenings,

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; 5+ years in security or military is preferred.
• Casino security experience preferred and supervisory experience required.
• Must be able to obtain Virginia Gaming License from the VA Lottery.
• Must be at least 21 years old; fluent English; able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Act as Commander in the absence of Security Manager.
• Support Security Manager in daily operations and ensure policy compliance; ensure manpower and equipment meet daily requirements.
• Review schedules, reports, and adjust as needed.
• Inspect Officer’s appearance, abilities, attitude and compliance with standards.
• Ensure training of officers and preparation of safety reports.
• Conduct daily post checks, monitor manpower status, and take corrective action as needed.
• Assist Security Manager in evaluations and recommendations.
• Review actions for policy noncompliance and initiate appropriate measures.
• Act as on-scene Commander for major incidents; advise management of shift information.
• Responsible for safety and protection of the Casino, employees and guests.
• Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.

Responsible for supervising the daily operation of the Security Department

Responsibilities

• Acts as Commander in the absence of Security Manager
• Supports Security manager in daily operations, ensures compliance of policies & procedures, ensures manpower & equipment meet daily requirements.
• Reviews schedules, reports, etc & makes necessary adjustments.
• Inspects Officer’s appearance, abilities, attitude & compliance’s with standards.
• Ensures training of all officers ensures safety standards & prepares all appropriate reports.
• Conducts daily post checks, monitors manpower status board, takes corrective action regarding complaints.
• Assist Security manager in preparation of evaluations & makes recommendations.
• Reviews, recommends or initiates appropriate action on those who fail to comply with policy, procedures or rules.
• Acts as on scene Commander for all major incidents
• Advises management of all pertinent info regarding shift or department
• Responsible for safety & protection of the Casino, employees & guests
• Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred
• 5 years of law enforcement or military experience preferred.
• Some casino security experience preferred.
• 3 years supervisory experience preferred.

• Must be able to obtain aVirginia GamingLicensefrom the VA Lottery.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke.
• Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance according to schedule.

Physical Requirements

• Able to walk, work and stand, inside and outside, occasionally in heat in excess of 115 degrees or cold in excess of 10 degrees.
• Able to physically restrain adults in excess of 200 pounds.
• Able to respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations.
• Able to work independently.
• Able to stoop, bend, jump, twist, crouch, grip and carry heavy loads and maneuver quickly on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs.

Wage: $24.00 an hour
