Job summary

BAE Systems Electronic Systems in Nashua, NH is seeking a Security Specialist to support the ES Personnel Security Office, ensuring NISPOM compliance and handling clearance processing, visitor control, and special program processing.

You will work in a hybrid schedule with both on-site and remote days, focusing on safeguarding national security information and maintaining required clearances while coordinating with multiple security teams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of related administrative and clerical experience.
• Interim SECRET eligibility within 3 months of start date.
• Eligible for Top Secret Clearance.
• Experience with PC’s and office software; strong writing skills.
• Working knowledge of SIMS, DISS, NBIS, EQIP, EAPP, JADE.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Decision‑making and reasoning skills.
• Working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and related security manuals.
• Must be organized and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Acquire, review, and process Initial Clearances, 5‑year clearance reinvestigations, reinstatements, and clearance upgrades to completion.
• Process ES New Hire’s and Terminations – SIMS/DISS/NBIS.
• Support and process PSQ’s, Foreign Travel, and reporting as per Special Program requirements.
• Maintain working knowledge of SIMS, DISS, eQIP/eAPP, and NISS.
• Manage and maintain ES SIMS, DISS, and NBIS.
• Maintain the PERSEC Shared Area and PERSEC One Space.
• Develop security plans to comply with existing directives and future requirements.
• Provide and maintain monthly and quarterly metrics.
• Maintain continuity plans relative to the PERSEC Office.
• Demonstrate professionalism, good people skills, effective communication, and multitasking ability.
• Manage time, make sound decisions, work independently, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

BAE Systems in Nashua, NH is looking to hire a Security Specialist to support the Electronic Systems Personnel Security Office – ensuring the requirements of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other applicable manuals are implemented and compliance is maintained. You will support ES Security Personnel Clearance Processing, ES Visitor Control, and ES Special Programs Processing across the growing sector.

Preferred Working Arrangement

This opportunity offers a hybrid remote work schedule; you spend part of your time on site and part of your time remotely, while also working a Nine‑Eighty schedule that gives you every other Friday off.

Pay Information

Full‑Time Salary Range: $55,295 – $94,001.
