Job summary

The role is full-time on-site, with 12-hour shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. OPOTA firearm certification and compliance with health-system policies are required.

Security Specialist means non-commissioned. Security Specialists are not authorized to exercise commissioned law enforcement actions. Responsible for investigations of criminal offenses that occur on facility property. Enforce facility rules and regulations.Responsible for conducting non-law enforcement information reports on hospital property. Maintain visibility to establish security presence within the medical centers and other assigned areas/facilities. Must be able to thrive in a complex environment and have a passion for public relationsEDUCATION· Minimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED· Preferred educational qualifications: Associate degree· Position specific testing requirement: Never charged or convicted with a disqualifying offense per Ohio Administrative Code 3701-13-05LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRATION· OPOTA- Required Basic Security Guard Training or comparable firearm certification.
