Job summary

Acclaim Technical Services in Hanover, MD, is seeking a Security Specialist with TS/SCI clearance and Poly to support collateral‑level security and SCI programs. You will thrive in a fast‑paced environment and build high‑trust partnerships with management and security teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus security-related experience.
  • 2–5 years of personnel security experience.
  • Experience with DISS, NISS, eApp, and SIMS preferred.
  • Experience handling classified materials up to TS/SCI.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in U.S. Government, Intelligence, or contractor security management.

Responsibilities

  • Follow NISPOM, ICD, and other regulations to administer routine intelligence and industrial security programs.
  • Support collateral-level security and SCI programs.
  • Complete SF-86, SCI customer nomination packages, DD-254 packages, and prepare/approve visit access requests (VARs).
  • Perform clearance checks using DISS, NCAISS, NISS, and coordinate with customer security representatives.
  • Conduct access control management and facility badge coordination; protect classified information and monitor security procedures across personnel, physical, and administrative systems.
  • Lead customer and corporate security briefings, investigate losses and violations, recommend corrective actions, and update company security documents.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to transition between tasks and be available for various duties as needed.

We are actively hiring a Security Specialist with TS/SCI clearance and Poly. The position is based in Hanover, MD and offers a hybrid work option after ramp‑up.

As our Security Specialist

You will administer and implement collateral‐level security programs and sensitive compartmented information (SCI) programs for ATS. You should be well versed in routine aspects of intelligence and personnel security, thrive in a fast‑paced environment, and build high‑trust partnerships with management and security teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Follow NISPOM, ICD, and other government regulations to administer routine aspects of intelligence and industrial security programs.
  • Support collateral‑level security programs and SCI programs.
  • Complete SF‑86, SCI customer nomination packages, DD‑254 packages, and prepare/approve visit access requests (VARs). Perform clearance checks using DISS, NCAISS, NISS, and coordinate with customer security representatives.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus security‑related experience.
  • 2–5 years of personnel security experience.
  • Experience with DISS, NISS, eApp, and SIMS preferred.
  • Experience handling, storing, transmitting, and transporting classified materials up to and including TS and SCI.
  • Knowledge of developing security plans and OPSEC procedures.
  • Experience in personnel security, document, and visitor control.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills at all staff levels.
  • Experience in U.S. Government, Intelligence, or contractor security management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and teamwork.
  • Self‑starter able to take initiative in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
  • Adaptability to changing security landscapes.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Well organized, independent, yet strong team player.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and multitask across initiatives.
DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • FSO certification or the ability to obtain it within six months.
  • Self‑motivated and results‑oriented.
