Job summary

US Naval Intelligence Activity in Suitland, Maryland seeks a GG-12 Security Specialist to apply a fundamental knowledge of DoW and DoN security policies and directives pertaining to SCI and overall DoW SCI security requirements. Job description

You will serve as a GG-12 Security Specialist utilizing a fundamental knowledge of Department of War (DoW) and Department of Navy (DoN) security policies and directives pertaining to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and overall DoW SCI security requirements. You will provide the full spectrum of security guidance, services, and technical advice in a wide range of security functional areas. This position is located at NAVAL INTELLIGENCE ACTIVITY in Suitland, Maryland.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-11 grade level in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following such as:

1. Administer classification management requirements to ensure proper categorization, marking, and handling of sensitive and classified materials;
2. Coordinate security requirements for classified contracts and facility clearance (FCL) to determine personnel access and compliance;
3. Apply comprehensive security policies and procedures to protect sensitive and classified information from unauthorized disclosure;
4. Apply Personnel Security principles, standards, and methodologies to oversee and process background investigations, security clearances, and periodic re-investigations;
5. Develop, coordinate, and conduct professional security education, training, and awareness programs to include initial security briefings and debriefings to diverse stakeholders.
