DK Security, Inc. in Byron Center, MI is seeking a qualified unarmed Security Officer to monitor a multi-warehouse distribution site for a major Midwest retailer. You will perform access control, patrol duties, and CCTV monitoring as part of a security team.

Responsibilities include guarding entrances, enforcing health screenings, and coordinating dispatches while maintaining a professional image and safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• No felony convictions; must pass criminal background check.
• Must pass a drug test at hire and periodically.
• Willing to become CPR/First Aid/AED certified.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record (<3 moving violations in 3 years).

Responsibilities

• Delivery Access Control - check in/out semi-truck deliveries at Guard House using computer software.
• Patrolling interior and exterior of buildings; monitor security and safety issues.
• Mobile Patrol - drive security vehicle and patrol parking lots and exteriors.
• Warehouse Access Control - ensure COVID health screenings are completed and direct next steps.
• Dispatching personnel for emergency and non-emergency responses; monitor CCTV and recording devices.

Job Skills / Requirements

As an unarmed Security Officer at DK Security, your duties may vary depending on the site you are working. This opening is at a multi-warehouse distribution center for a large Midwest retailer. Multiple officers are on duty at a time.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Include But Are Not Limited To

• Delivery Access Control - Check in/out Semi Truck deliveries at the Guard House using computer software.


• Patrolling - Walk the interior and exterior of the various buildings on site, keeping an eye out for security, safety, or maintenance issues.


• Mobile Patrol - Drive the security vehicle around the site, patrolling parking lots and building exteriors.


• Warehouse Access Control - Ensure the client's employees complete their COVID health screenings. Provide next step directions depending on results.


• Delivery Access Control - Check in/out Semi Truck deliveries at the Guard House using computer software.


• Dispatching - Follow procedures in dispatching personnel for emergency and non-emergency response.


• Monitoring - Accurately and quickly utilize computer-aided software and monitor CCTV system using recording devices.

Guard House - $18.85/hour

• Full Time, Sunday, Thursday, Friday 2300-0700 & Monday & Saturday 0000-0800


• Full Time, Monday to Friday 2300-0700


• Part-time, Variable Days,1600-0000

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.


• Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent.


• May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.


• Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.


• Must be willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified


• Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.




• Less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years


• Less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years


• No other major violations in the last 3 years.




• Physical Requirements:




• Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs


• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds


• Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations




• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
