Job summary

The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) seeks a Security Specialist to support the Advanced Security Division at Point Mugu. You will oversee security across information, physical, personnel, industrial, and operations security for SAP activities.

Responsibilities include interpreting security requirements, managing access controls, developing SOPs, delivering training, performing self-inspections, and rapidly containing incidents while assisting inquiries.

• Report security incidents and spills; contain as needed and support preliminary inquiries.

You will serve as a Security Specialist in the Advanced Security Division, Security Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will provide daily security and administrative support across information, physical, personnel, industrial, communications, and operations security functional areas for Special Access Program (SAP) activities.
• You will interpret program security requirements, assess risk, and implement appropriate measures to protect classified information, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), sensitive material, personnel, and facilities.
• You will manage access control processes for secure facilities and controlled areas, verify personnel clearances and need-to-know requirements, and process program access requests.
• You will develop and maintain security standard operating procedures, deliver security training, and provide guidance on the safeguarding, handling, storage, transmission, destruction, and marking of sensitive information.
• You will conduct self-inspections of secure spaces, document findings, coordinate corrective actions, and monitor compliance with established security policies and procedures.
• You will report security incidents and electronic spillages, take immediate containment actions when required, and gather information needed to support preliminary inquiries.
