Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Security Site Supervisor to lead a team of armed security guards at a sensitive facility. You will manage day-to-day site operations and ensure strict adherence to security protocols.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Enforce Post Orders and facility regulations.
• Complete mandatory training and recertification annually.

Vaxcom Services LLC (a Parsons company) is looking for talented Security Site Supervisors to join our team! In this role you will get to lead and manage the shift security operations of a team of armed security guards at a sensitive site.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Leading a team of armed security officers in their day-to-day operations at a sensitive facility.
• Controlling access to the facility by monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting vehicles, and ensuring all personnel entering the facility have the proper identification. This includes performing security patrols of the site via foot, bike, or vehicle as appropriate to that location.
• Responding to situations at the facility using the appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response by following established Use of Force Policy.
• Responding to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents that may occur during day or night.
• Observing and reporting incidents or suspicious activity to various stakeholders in a timely and thorough manner.
• Maintaining proficiency and safety in the use of all assigned equipment, control devices, and weapon systems.
• Enforcing Post Orders, company/Sponsor rules, and facility regulations.
• Completing mandatory training and recertification programs annually.
• Assisting management in maintaining and enhancing program performance over time.
• Acting as a resource to managers and employees in the program and Sponsor organization, with problem solving skills.
• Maintaining and building relationships with the Sponsor and other stakeholders.
• Informally looking for opportunities to potentially increase the scope of our program through additional staffing.
• Other ad hoc duties as assigned.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelors Degree and 3+ years of related physical security experience or high school diploma plus 5+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• 2+ years of supervisory/leadership experience at any level.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in working with Sponsor leadership and the company program manager on a daily basis to address issues, changes, and modifications that will impact job requirements.
• Experience addressing less than successful performance by others in a tactful, constructive manner; experience in mentoring and counseling others.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Must possess (at the time of application) an active/current TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
• Must be flexible, adaptable, and able to successfully handle competing priorities.
• Must pass required medical screening to include an aptitude test.
• Demonstrated proficiency with weapons systems (Glock handgun and patrol rifle).

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• 4+ years experience as an armed security officer.
• 2+ years experience as a supervisor/manager of 10+ people with demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and develop employees.
• 2+ years experience in law enforcement, Department of Corrections or the US Military.
• Experience working at a sensitive or secure facility.

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position. This position is part of our Federal Solutions team. Salary Range: $88,400.00 - $154,700.00
