Allied Universal is hiring a Shift Supervisor Unarmed for the Third Shift at a high-profile client site in Minneapolis. The Shift Supervisor oversees the security of the facility, property, and campus for their shift, directs security officers, and enforces post orders and contract requirements.

The role requires 2+ years of security, military, or law enforcement experience and supervisory skills, a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and strong leadership and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.
• Must possess one of: associate’s degree or higher, military service, police cadets, or 1+ year security experience.

Responsibilities

• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site post orders.
• Provide direction and instruction to subordinates regarding duties.
• Cross-train officers to increase versatility and efficiency.
• Recommend productivity and cost reductions to management.
• Suggest improvements for security surveys and post orders.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling and on-site training for security officers.
• Ensure contract-required training and screening elements are met.
• Maintain overtime at minimum or as designated by Allied Universal.
• Inspect security personnel to ensure quality of service and contract compliance.
• Assist in payroll, incident report review, and security surveys.

Allied Universal® is hiring a Shift Supervisor Unarmed - Third Shift. The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for the security of a high profile client’s facility, property, and surrounding campus for a designated shift. The Shift Supervisor performs general security duties as directed in the protection of persons and property and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules, and regulations, as specified in post orders, and will deter criminal activity and misconduct.

Responsibilities

• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
• Provide direction and instruction to subordinates regarding the performance of their duties
• Cross-training officers to make them more versatile and run site efficiently
• Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
• Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders
• Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under their direct supervision
• Oversee staffing, scheduling and on-site training for security officer assigned to his/her shift.
• Ensure that contract required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met
• Maintain overtime to minimum or to a predefined level designated by Allied Universal®
• Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance when assigned to his/her shift
• Perform other operations and related functions (e.g., payroll, review and maintain incident reports, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Current and valid driver’s license
• Must possess one or more of the following:
• Associate’s degree of higher in any discipline
• Service in the active-duty military, military reserves, or National Guard
• Service in auxiliary police or police cadets
• Minimum of one (1) year verifiable and successful security experiences
• Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable work experience demonstrating the following:
• Excellent customer service skills

• Capability of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, and of composing reports

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Emergency Management Systems FEMA Incident Command Certification; ICO 100, 200, 300
• Working knowledge of EMS protocols, Medical First Responder or Emergency Medical Technician
