Job summary

The role requires keeping current with correctional practices, licensing where required, and a valid driver's license. You will contribute to staffing, training, and resource management while maintaining high professional standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Three years experience in criminal justice field, including two years in a supervisory capacity.
• Completion of basic pre-service correctional officer training; licensed where applicable.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and manage operations of security staff and inmates on the shift.
• Ensure adequate staffing in areas supervised and fill in during shortages.
• Engage in recruiting, hiring and orientation of staff in areas supervised.
• Make recommendations on personnel matters and aid in resource management.
