Job summary

The Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh seeks an intern to support the Security Team. This fixed-term, part-time role involves 10-15 hours per week and requires enrollment in a degree program, with willingness to travel to SEI/CMU locations.

What We Do:The SEI helps advance software engineering principles and practices and serves as a national resource in software engineering, computer security, and process improvement. The SEI works closely with defense and government organizations, industry, and academia to continually improve software-intensive systems. Our core purpose is to help organizations improve software engineering capabilities and develop or acquire the right software, defect free, within budget and on time, every time.Position Summary:The individual in this position will work as a member of the OCOS staff on the Security Team. The weekly hourly requirement will be 10-15 hours.The primary responsibilities include:Assist with OCONUS travel briefingsWork with suspicious contact reports via analytical processesAssist with documentationExposure to all aspects of Industrial Security as it relates to the protection of National Security.Requirements:Enrolled in a degree granting program.Willingness to travel to various locations to support the SEI's overall mission.
