Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Entry Screening Specialist in Cherry Hill, NJ, to screen visitors, monitor access points, and deter incidents through a visible security presence. You will deliver professional customer service to students, staff, and guests and uphold site-specific procedures.

The role requires 2+ years in security, high school diploma, and the ability to work consistent shifts. Training and career growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per laws.
• Drug screen as per law.
• Licensing as required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen persons and belongings entering designated locations using screening equipment and established procedures, escalating prohibited items or irregularities as directed.
• Verify identification, access credentials, and/or visitor authorization in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity; environments may vary by location.
