Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; equivalent experience acceptable.
• 1 year in retail, security, first-responder, or military experience.
• 1 year in big-box retail, security, or military experience.
• Driver’s License.
• Security License.
• Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Safety, or related field.
• Experience with incident-report writing.
• Experience conducting quality reviews/audits.
• Experience using CCTV/EAS security systems.
• First-Aid Certification.
• De-escalation/crisis intervention skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible security and safety presence across the location.
• Validate building security per policy (gates, doors, access, perimeter).
• Engage with drivers; inbound/outbound processes (CTPAT).
• Perform regular safety and security audits using handheld devices.
• Patrol interior and exterior; identify security concerns.
• De-escalate incidents with associates, visitors, and contractors.
• Respond to incidents, accidents, and emergencies (medical, fire alarms).
• Collaborate with Supply Chain leadership to enforce procedures.
• Report suspicious activity or hazards to leadership.
• Complete detailed incident reports in case management system.
• Monitor CCTV and detect unauthorized activities.
• Attend monthly Safety Team meetings.
• Maintain required certifications and licenses.
• Participate in court hearings and liaise with law enforcement.
