Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Security Specialist to protect our facilities, employees, and patients by implementing and maintaining security protocols and leading risk assessments. You will monitor surveillance, respond to incidents, and train staff to uphold rigorous safety standards.

You will coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when needed, maintain detailed incident records, and continuously improve security measures based on current best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in security or law enforcement.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement security protocols and procedures to protect the company's facilities, employees, and patients
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and other security systems to detect and prevent security breaches
  • Respond to security incidents and conduct investigations as needed
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services in the event of an emergency
  • Train employees on security procedures and protocols
  • Maintain accurate records of security incidents and investigations
  • Stay up-to-date on security trends and best practices to continuously improve the company's security measures
