Job summary

GardaWorld Security is hiring a Flex On-Call Security Officer in the East Metro Detroit area (Sterling Heights, MI). This role features a non-guaranteed schedule and requires adaptability to changing missions and events.

Compensation is $19.05 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with employer matching, PTO, holidays, disability, and life insurance. Uniform provided, with career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Able to pass an extensive screening process
• Must be 21 years of age
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Must pass a 10 Year Moving Vehicle Record
• Must pass a drug screen

Responsibilities

• Monitor the premises to ensure security
• Conduct patrols to spot any suspicious activity
• Control access points and verify identities
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security
• Write detailed reports on events and incidents
• Collaborate with authorities during serious situations
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

As a Security Officer – Response, your role will vary depending on the day and special event. Whether it’s customer service, patrols, or surveillance, we need you to adapt with agility and precision.

  • Weekends, 2nd, and 3rd, the shift varies & will be discussed during the interview.
• There is NO Guaranteed Schedule with this role, Hours vary

Qualifications for Flex On Call Security Officer:

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations
• Responsive and strong problem solving skills
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• Must have Valid Driver's License
• Must be 21 years of age
• Must Pass 10 Year Moving Vehicle Record
• Must pass Drug Screen
