CrowdStrike is seeking a Security Researcher for the Counter Adversary Operations Team to track Latam-language eCrime actors across diverse environments, including deep web and forums.

The role requires OPSEC-savvy, detail-oriented problem solving, with ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results with minimal direction.

About the Role

CrowdStrike is looking for a self-starting, action-oriented, and highly motivated Security Researcher to join our Counter Adversary Operations Team. This position will require the candidate to track and collect information related to Latam-language-focussed eCrime actors, tools, tradecraft, and techniques in a wide variety of environments, to include the deep and dark web and is instrumental in providing unique insight into finished Intelligence products used by CrowdStrike customers and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be an operational security (OPSEC)-savvy, detail-oriented problem solver, and have experience driving concurrent projects, self-motivation and ability to execute assigned tasks to completion with minimal direction.

What You'll Do

• Collect unique, relevant actionable, and timely information to answer established standing and ad hoc requirements related to eCrime actors, especially Latam-language eCrime actors.
• Leverage engagement skills and OSINT tradecraft to follow up on leads and identify eCrime threat actors and track them in various online communities.
• Identify current and emerging cyber threats and trends pertaining to eCrime threat actors, including technical information with a special focus around Latam-language eCrime actors.
• Collaborate with teams producing analytical reports and threat estimates pertaining to eCrime topics, especially Latam language threat actors.
• Employ secure virtual operational tradecraft methods and practices.

What You'll Need

• Language capabilities including, but not limited to, Spanish and Portuguese.
• Experience conducting OSINT investigations using Latam-language skills.
• Experience in navigating a wide variety of cyber threat actor environments, to include social media, hidden services, and forums.
• Familiarity with a wide variety of eCrime groups generally.
• Practical knowledge of technical terminology, tools, and tactics employed by eCrime actors, particularly those used by Latam-language eCrime actors.
• Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and identify creative solutions to difficult problems and scenarios with persistence. Tenacity is key.
• Ability to work as part of a team, as well as self-motivation to collect independently and proactively.
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines with minimal guidance.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Bonus Points

Practical experience with virtual HUMINT is highly desirable.

Prior intelligence community, human intelligence (HUMINT), or cyber threat intelligence background highly preferred.

The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $70,000 - $95,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
