Responsibilities

• Lead physical security projects for new data centers, data center expansions, and special projects.
• Provide physical security project lifecycle management including specs, drawings, code compliance, vendor management, budget, change orders, and close-out.
• Manage contract execution, QA/QC, and support processes.
• Represent physical security team for acceptance, sign-off, and readiness validation with customer teams.
• Report performance metrics on installation, vendor service, defect rates, and program analysis.
• Collaborate across teams to drive security projects and provide weekly updates.

PGI is recruiting for multiple full-time openings for Security Project Manager (Contractor) positions based in the Atlanta, GA area. These positions are scheduled for 36 months. These positions report to the PGI Senior Security Program Manager.

You will be responsible for overseeing the design and installation of physical security features and systems, including Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Camera Surveillance, Passive and Active Barriers, and other security capabilities consistent with our customers’ security standards and public sector requirements. The position will perform security program management in support of new data centers, support facilities, data center expansions, and special security programs and projects.

This position will take direction from the customer’s Senior Security Program Manager. You will work independently to support the design and deployment of physical security packages and enhancements to our customers' data centers and supporting facilities. Additionally, you will work across multiple organizations and serve as the subject‑matter expert for authoring security design and security installation contract oversight. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously. This is an on‑site role with occasional remote work opportunities.

The Security Project Manager (SPM) will be responsible for the following:

• Lead physical security projects for new data centers, data center expansions, and special projects.
• Provide physical security project lifecycle management, including specifications, drawings, code compliance, vendor management, budget, change orders, and close‑out documentation.
• Manage contract execution, QA/QC, and support processes.
• Representative for physical security team acceptance, sign‑off, and operational readiness validation for high security facilities in conjunction with other customer teams.
• Reporting performance metrics such as physical security system installation, vendor service delivery performance, post‑installation defect rates, physical security program analysis, etc.
• Collaborate across teams to drive security projects.
• Provide weekly project updates to the customer Security Program Manager Team Lead
• Other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of project management, construction management, or equivalent military experience.
• Familiar with project management, design, and construction software.
• Proficient understanding of construction plans, elevations, and other design and construction artifacts for architectural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and telecommunications plans.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn complex systems.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.
• Position requires occasional travel to customer facilities within a 50-mile radius of the assigned site.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and periodic random drug screening, as well as a background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management or related field.
• 5+ years of experience working with physical security design and/or implementation of electronic security systems such as Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, and CCTV Surveillance systems. Familiarity with security in‑depth strategies.
• 2+ years of experience in program or project management, leading both technical and non‑technical teams focusing on physical security standards and designs.
• Experience with and/or certification with Lenel Access Control Systems.
• Training and experience with Axis cameras.
• Experience with and/or certification with Milestone VMS.
• Training and experience with Traka key management systems.
• Project Management Professional Certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and BlueBeam Revu.
• Former or transitioning Military Officers (O-3+), Non-Commissioned Officers (E-7+), and Warrant Officers (CW2+) are encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements:

• This position requires lifting, standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the workday.
• Occasional travel to construction sites that require the donning of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
