Allied Universal is seeking a Security Professional with Active DoD Clearance in Carlsbad, CA. You will be the welcoming front desk presence, monitor access, manage visitor credentials, and coordinate with site leadership on security matters.

The role is Full Time with a pay rate of $24.67 per hour. Responsibilities include handling alarms, responding to incidents, and assisting employees and guests with inquiries in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed, 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a front desk with access-control procedures.
• Greet visitors, verify ID, issue visitor credentials, and maintain access records.
• Monitor alarms and security systems, report unusual activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents following emergency procedures.
• Assist with directions and inquiries; coordinate with leadership and site reps.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures and access-control protocols at a front desk within an aerospace and defense location.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and access records in accordance with site policies.
• Monitor incoming communications, alarms, and/or security-related systems, and promptly report unusual activity or concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Support a professional front-desk environment by providing directions, answering routine inquiries, and coordinating with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• An active Department of Defense Secret clearance is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
