Position

Security Professional - Unarmed Patrol - Part Time in Burgaw, NC

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting routine patrols and providing outstanding customer service, while supporting a secure environment for all personnel. You will have opportunities to gain hands-on experience across various industries and flexibility to build a schedule using the exclusive Claim a Shift platform.

What You’ll Do

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any security-related issues or suspicious activities encountered during patrols.
• Communicate with Allied Universal management and client representatives as needed regarding security-related matters.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and/or checking identification as required.
• Support emergency preparedness and response efforts according to site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
