Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer to protect client sites across multiple industries. You will patrol and monitor access, using our shift-pickup platform to claim open shifts based on your availability and gain varied site experience.

This full-time overnight position in Seneca, SC offers weekly pay options, a starting base pay of $17.50 per hour, and opportunities to develop security licenses and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle.
• Background check and drug screen required by Allied Universal.
• Be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed where required).
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
• Ability to operate radio/telephone equipment and communicate with the public.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Teamwork and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Monitor for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns.
• Sound alarms or call police/fire in emergencies.
• Warn violators of infractions and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe personnel leaving to prevent theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate accidents/incidents and maintain reports/logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously.
• Make emergency notifications as required by post orders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Must possess a valid Driver’s Licensewith at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws; Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)
