Job summary

Chenega Corporation seeks a Security Police Officer - EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) to guard our facility and provide urgent medical support. This role starts as part-time with potential to bid for full-time as openings occur.

Responsibilities include first response to emergencies, access/traffic control, and enforcing federal/state laws. Candidates must hold EMR and CPR/BLS certifications, be a US citizen, 21+, and able to obtain DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Ability to complete DoD security clearance basics within 90 days
• Flexible hours including weekends/holidays

Responsibilities

• Provide first response to emergencies, including medical incidents.
• Carry out general and special orders for post assigned.
• Provide access control, traffic control and armed security functions.
• Enforce federal and state laws, mobile patrols, inspections, searches.
• Perfom traffic enforcement, investigations, arrests, and transport of individuals.
• Follow NASA procedures and regulations regarding weapons, buildings, personnel and property.
• Conduct checks of personnel, vehicles, buildings, and facilities; inspect packages.

ALL positions begin as Part-Time with the option to bid on a full-time position when one becomes available.

Responsibilities

• Provide first response to emergencies, including medical incidents.
• Carry out general and special orders for post assigned.
• Provide access control, traffic control and conduct walking and motorized armed security functions.
• Enforce federal and assimilated state laws, conduct mobile patrols, inspections, and searches.
• Perform traffic enforcement and investigations, initiate arrests, and transport individuals.
• Follow applicable standard operating procedures and NASA regulations pertaining to security of weapons, buildings, personnel, NASA property and equipment
• Conduct personnel, vehicular, building, and facility checks, and perform package and parcel inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) or greater certification through the State of Ohio.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to complete the NASA Federal Arrest Authority Basic Course within the first 90 days of employment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.
• Preferred: 1 year of military or law enforcement experience, and a diploma or certificate from a recognized law enforcement or physical security training academy.

Estimated Salary/Wage

USD $24.88/Hr.
