Job summary

City Of Atlanta Careers is seeking a Sr. Security Specialist to lead daily patrols, inspections, and badge oversight in a high-security municipal setting. You will document patrols, report incidents, and assist with investigations while ensuring coverage for on-call needs.

Qualifications include an Associate degree in Criminal Justice or related experience, strong communication skills, and a valid driver's license. Homeland security certifications are encouraged as a development path.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security roving and foot patrols within assigned zones, ensuring the safety.
• Document and submit daily security patrol reports and physical security inspections.
• Report and document all security-related incidents, breaches, safety concerns, and violations. Submit work orders for issues identified during patrols.
• Assist with DWM investigations by thoroughly documenting incidents and collaborating with the DWM Facility Management group.
• Maintain availability for on-call duties as required; work hours and shifts may vary based on departmental needs.
• Support departmental goals and objectives in alignment with management practices and directives.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, ensuring proper protocols are followed
