Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Glen Oaks, NY, offering flexible scheduling with a fixed anchor shift and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift program.

Pay rate is $20.50 per hour with a base schedule of DayTimeFri04:00 PM - 12:00 AM. Candidates must meet minimum requirements including a valid driver’s license and high school diploma; background check and drug screening apply.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials or authorization when applicable, and report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
