Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Security Operations Manager to lead our SOC. The role oversees cybersecurity monitoring, threat detection, incident investigation and response in a Cisco-based environment. You will guide SOC personnel and establish standards, procedures and metrics.

The ideal candidate has extensive security operations experience, proven SOC leadership, and expertise in SIEM/EDR/SOAR, with strong communication to senior leaders about risk and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Seven+ years in cybersecurity or security operations.
• Three+ years leading a SOC or security operations team.
• Strong knowledge of monitoring, threat detection, incident response, SIEM/EDR/SOAR.

Job description

Full time position for a Security Operations Manager. This role is on site to start and offers some WFH options once established. The SOC Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for the organization’s Security Operations Center, overseeing cybersecurity monitoring, threat detection, incident investigation, and response within a Cisco-based enterprise environment. This individual leads SOC personnel (4 reports), establishes operational standards and procedures, optimizes security technologies, and ensures the effective identification, escalation, and mitigation of cybersecurity threats. The role works closely with IT leadership, infrastructure and application teams, and Risk and Compliance to strengthen the organization’s security posture and protect critical technology assets.

The ideal candidate brings extensive cybersecurity and security operations experience, a proven track record of leading SOC teams, and strong expertise in incident response, threat intelligence, threat hunting, and security monitoring technologies, including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and Cisco security solutions. This professional will improve detection capabilities, oversee incident response processes, establish operational metrics, and communicate security risks and performance to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Seven or more years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, or related IT security roles.
• Three or more years of experience managing or leading a SOC or security operations team.
• Strong knowledge of security monitoring, threat detection, incident response, SIEM, EDR, and Cisco security technologies.
• Experience developing security operations procedures, incident response playbooks, detection strategies, and performance metrics.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
