Job summary

AIS in Rome, NY is seeking a Security Operations Manager/Facility Security Officer to lead the Security Department and ensure compliance with NISP, ICD, JAFAN, and other federal directives. This onsite role requires a TS clearance and involves managing security programs and personnel.

You will supervise security staff, develop training on SETA/OPSEC/Insider Threat, perform annual inspections, and coordinate with government officers to meet customer requirements. Travel is less than 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with 8 years industry experience.
• Experience with DISS, NBIS, ISFD, e-FCL, DIAS, AAC, IDS, and CDSE for FSO.
• Top Secret clearance TS (SCI eligible) required.

• Supervise department security professionals, including hiring, training, evaluating and career development, and scheduling.
• Advise Program Managers on interpretation of security guidelines and plans to meet customer requirements.
• Interface with government security officers, AIS program managers and staff on security matters.
• Develop and implement SETA, OPSEC, Insider Threat, and SOP programs.
• Conduct annual self-inspection and document for CSA, host periodic reviews.
• Oversee storage, inventory, and visitor control for classified materials.
• Report adverse information to CSA and maintain facility documentation.

Assured Information Security (AIS) has an opening for a Security Operations Manager/Facility Security Officer. In this role you’ll be responsible for security management, including Contract Program Security Officer (CPSO) duties, and supervision of the Security Department as well as all aspects of collateral programs. Ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), Joint Air Force-Army-Navy (JAFAN) manuals, and other federal security directives.

*This is an onsite position located in Rome, NY and requires a Top Secret clearance*

What You’ll Do:

• Responsible for all aspects of physical, personnel, and information security.
• Supervise department security professionals, performing activities such as hiring, training, evaluating and managing performance and career development, assigning work, coordinating schedules of all security personnel to insure secure facility.
• Advises Program Managers and staff in the interpretation of security guidelines and the development of plans and procedures to meet customer security requirements.
• Interface with government security officers, AIS program managers and supporting staff on security matters.
• Develop and implement an effective Security and Education Training Awareness (SETA) program to include initial, refresher and continuing education programs, Operations Security (OPSEC), Insider Threat programs, Foreign travel programs, Standard Practice and Procedures (SPP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Conduct an annual self-inspection, document the self-inspection, and submit to the appropriate CSA to include the hosting of periodic security reviews.
• Oversee the adherence of classified storage, annual classified inventory, classified media control, reproduction/destruction, and the visitor control program.
• Monitor the reproduction and/or duplication and destruction capabilities.
• Responsible for reporting of adverse information to the appropriate CSA.
• Maintain and update fixed facility checklist (FFC) and other facility documentation as required.

Education/Experience/Skillset Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and 8 years industry experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with the following:
  • Defense Information Security System (DISS)
  • National Background Investigative Services (NBIS)
  • Industrial Security Facilities Database (ISFD), Electronic Facility Clearance System (e-FCL).
  • Distributed INFOSEC Accounting System (DIAS)
  • Automated Access Control (AAC)
  • Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
  • Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) for FSO

Clearance Required: TS (SCI eligible)

Travel Required: Less than 10%

US Salary Range: $123,085 - $155,000

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on several factors including location, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package which includes employer paid health insurance and a 7% contribution to your 401k, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation.
