Job summary

Jane Street Group, LLC is seeking an enthusiastic IT security operations engineer to join our IT Security team. The role focuses on securing our computing platforms and identities, with hands-on work, collaboration, and creative problem solving.

We expect 5–7 years of Windows-focused experience, the ability to deploy security controls, support incident response, and mitigate vulnerabilities. Base salary ranges from $175,000 to $250,000, plus an annual discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience as a security or operations engineer with a Windows focus.
• Maintain, support, and administer Windows, macOS, and hybrid identity platforms.
• Knowledge of attack patterns, adversary methods, and protective technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, log analysis, and use of performance tools to identify disruptions.
• Experience deploying Endpoint Security controls in highly available environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, document, and implement security controls at scale.
• Lead Vulnerability Management and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Guide IT Operations during security incidents.
• Develop technical and non-technical solutions with engineering teams.
• Contribute to playbooks and procedures.
