Job summary

Sungrow Americas is seeking a Security Operations Engineer to join the cybersecurity team. This role owns security platforms, leads incident response, and strengthens detection across IT and cloud environments.

Beyond a traditional SOC analyst, you will apply hands-on engineering, tool ownership, and lifecycle incident response to support defense-in-depth and security maturity. Hybrid work in Costa Mesa or Houston, up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in cybersecurity operations or analyst roles.
• Hands-on with SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM and vulnerability management.
• Experience supporting cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Proven incident investigation and response capabilities.
• Understanding of security operations workflows and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment and ongoing management of security platforms (SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM).
• Execute end-to-end incident response including triage and remediation.
• Coordinate with MSSP for monitoring and response.
• Own security hardening and configuration management.
• Identify and remediate gaps and misconfigurations.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering to maintain secure configurations.
