Job summary

Comcast seeks a Specialist for its Security Operations Center to monitor security events, analyze incidents, and assist with video patrols and open-source monitoring. You will contribute to policy execution and maintain security systems, communicating with stakeholders to protect people and assets.

Based at the Cable HQ SOC in West Chester, PA, this full-time role operates on a swing shift (Sat-Wed, 4pm-12am) with potential additional weekend hours to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Basic knowledge of access control, video management, and intrusion detection systems.
• Familiarity with incident management processes.
• Analytical with the ability to identify and escalate critical issues.
• Attention to detail and accuracy; aware of regulations and compliance.
• Interest in threat intelligence platforms and tools.
• Understanding of basic network security concepts.
• Familiarity with physical security systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring internal and external security events to identify threats.
• Support video patrols, monitor camera feeds, and investigate alarms.
• Contribute to analysis of security incidents and identify patterns.
• Monitor open-source media for security-related events and impacts.
• Provide timely information to protect people, assets, and facilities.
• Follow policies to ensure compliance and support process improvements.
• Assist in maintaining physical security systems.
• Document and communicate information to aid decision-making.
• Support training for new Specialists and third-party operators.
• Help develop SOPs and training materials.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Participate in continuous SOC process improvements.
• Maintain awareness of emerging threats and industry best practices.
