Job summary

Security Solution of America is seeking a Security Officer to join our Plantation, FL team. Duties include protecting premises, monitoring access, and responding to alarms, while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Candidates must be 18+, a U.S. citizen, pass drug screening and background checks, have reliable transportation and a Florida Class D License. This is a full-time and part-time position with 1st and 3rd shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises
• Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
• Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property
