Job summary

Titan Security is seeking unarmed Security Officers in North Charleston, South Carolina. You will patrol properties, assist guests, and respond to incidents while coordinating with authorities as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1 year in security or related fields, and a valid driver’s license. The role requires outdoor work, rotating shifts, English proficiency, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year in security, law enforcement, or customer-facing role preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain/maintain SLED security license or certification.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Must stand/walk patrol for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather.
• Rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Passed pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Able to read/write/speak/understand English.
• Able to meet physical essential functions (lifting 50+ lbs, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Perform regular foot and vehicle patrols throughout the property.
• Provide courteous guest assistance, directions, and a visible presence.
• Respond to disturbances, emergencies, or suspicious activity; coordinate with authorities.
• Collaborate with surveillance to monitor CCTV and report concerns.
• Maintain incident and activity reports, logs of patrols and interactions.
• Check doors, windows, lighting, and fire safety equipment.
• Promote safety procedures to guests and staff.
• Use conflict-resolution skills to peacefully manage disputes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Recruitment & Staffing

Responsibilities may include:

• Perform regular foot and vehicle patrols throughout the property.
• Provide courteous assistance to guests, offering directions, answering questions, and creating a visible, approachable presence to enhance the overall visitor experience.
• Respond promptly and professionally to disturbances, emergencies, medical situations, or suspicious activity. Initiate appropriate action and coordinate with local authorities or emergency services as needed.
• Collaborate with the surveillance team to monitor CCTV systems and report irregular activities or safety concerns.
• Maintain detailed incident and activity reports, including logs of patrol rounds, observed hazards, and guest interactions.
• Conduct routine checks of doors, windows, lighting, and fire safety equipment to ensure all facilities are secure and operational.
• Promote awareness of property rules, safety protocols, and emergency procedures to guests and staff.
• Utilize communication and conflict resolution skills to peacefully manage difficult situations or disputes between guests, vendors, or staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
