Job summary

Securitas is hiring a Security Officer in Berkeley, MO to help maintain a safe environment for our clients by monitoring premises, controlling access, and patrolling multiple sites. The role features full-time hours and competitive pay of $19.50 per hour, with benefits and ongoing training opportunities.

You will engage with client staff and visitors, follow post orders, report hazards, and respond calmly to emergencies while maintaining a professional demeanor and customer service focus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to work 2 out of 3 shifts with open availability preferred.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills required.
• Ability to work independently and stay vigilant on patrols.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients.
• Control access and perform post orders at assigned sites.
• Conduct foot/motion patrols and report hazards or suspicious activity.
• Provide information to employees and guests and respond to emergencies with calm, professional judgment.
• Utilize technology devices during shifts and create badges as needed.

Security Officer's - Full Time

Primary Location:

Berkeley, MO

Wage:

$19.50/HR

Available Shifts:

• 1500 - 2300
• 2300 - 0700

The Security Officers help maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect:

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct foot / mobile patrols of the property.
• Access control duties.
• Badge creation.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed - tablet and smart phone usage.
• Must be familiar with Microsoft Office.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Valid drivers license required.
• Must be able to work 2 out of 3 shifts - open availability greatly desired.
• Must be able to complete the 7 day training program.
