Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced for a Mobile Patrol role in Fort Wayne, IN. This position offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, increasing earnings while maintaining a reliable base schedule.

The role supports customer service at a technology-focused site, requires a high school diploma, and includes background checks, a drug screen, and state/local licensing considerations as applicable.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation will be conducted as per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location per site policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interior/exterior spaces, parking facilities, entry points, and business perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; report access concerns to site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations; document observations per site procedures.
• Maintain awareness of changing site conditions; complete activity and incident reports.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior areas, parking facilities, entry points, and the business perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and report access concerns or suspicious conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Maintain awareness of changing site conditions, communicate professionally with site stakeholders, and complete required activity reports and incident documentation.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
