Qualifications

• Background check will be conducted as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures and site policies.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials and documenting visitor entry.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, loading areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized access.
• Maintain accurate access logs and incident reports and communicate with site leadership.

As a Security Officer Visitor Management in Lake Orion, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and support loss prevention efforts while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.

Pay Rate: $17.43 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, employee parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate access logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
