Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Visitor Check In in Williamsburg, VA. You will provide front-line security, manage access-control procedures, and maintain visitor logs while delivering excellent customer service to tenants and guests.

Pay is $18.50 per hour with a part-time schedule. Responsibilities include monitoring entry points, responding to alarms, and patrolling interiors and perimeters to deter incidents and ensure safety.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to commercial real estate facilities by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests per site requirements.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor entry points, loading areas, and other access locations to deter unauthorized entry and support orderly operations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking facilities, and the property perimeter.

What You’ll Do:

• Monitor entry points, loading areas, and other assigned access locations to help deter unauthorized entry and support orderly operations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking facilities, and the property perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
