Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Visitor Check-In in Plainfield, IL. You will greet drivers and employees, check IDs, manage visitor logs, and monitor entry points and cameras at a busy logistics site.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old (unarmed roles) or 21 (armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures and other security-related duties at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or building access points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining entry logs, and coordinating with warehouse management for loading dock and yard access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including activating site emergency response activities and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the warehouse, loading docks, trailer yard, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and radios; report maintenance or operational concerns, suspicious activity, and policy issues through required reports and notifications.

Minimum Requirements:

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
