Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect visitor badges, maintain entry/exit records.
• Control access for contractors, vendors, and delivery drivers according to facility requirements and direct them to check-in areas.
• Respond to access-control incidents calmly and escalate as needed through security reporting channels.
• Conduct patrols of access points, entrances, parking areas, and facility perimeter to deter unauthorized access.

As a Security Officer Visitor Access in Champaign, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, documenting activity, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a visible presence that helps deter incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect visitor badges, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Control access for contractors, vendors, and delivery drivers in accordance with facility requirements, including directing them to designated check-in areas.
• Respond to access-control incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established security-related reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
