Job summary

GREATER BAY PROTECTIVE SERVICES INC. in Sacramento region is seeking a Standing Officer to monitor premises, patrol on foot, deter unauthorized activity, and respond to alarms and incidents.

The candidate must have a high school diploma and a valid BSIS Guard Card, pass background and drug screening, and communicate effectively with staff, visitors, and emergency responders. Experience with security systems and CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid BSIS Guard Card.
• Pass background checks and drug screening.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience with electronic security systems and surveillance equipment.
• Familiarity with local Sacramento laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols, which are by foot, of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards.
• Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches.
• Enforce company policies and procedures related to access control, visitor management, and workplace safety.
• Provide assistance and guidance to employees and visitors, ensuring a professional and courteous presence at all times.
