Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Site Rounds in Gloucester, MA to safeguard clients across diverse industries. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible, welcoming presence.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Driving post.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and support site access-control procedures for employees, guests, and contractors.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities accurately in required logs and reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
