Allied Universal in Olympia, WA is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer to monitor facilities, assist visitors, and enforce site policies. You will patrol, manage access points, and respond to incidents while delivering professional customer service in a technology-rich environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and integrity, with a full-time schedule and a pay rate of $22.25 per hour. Background checks and a drug screen are required by law, and CPR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and delivery arrivals in accordance with site-specific procedures, documenting required information accurately.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate contacts and preparing clear incident reports.
• Maintain awareness of technology infrastructure areas and restricted spaces, reporting unauthorized access attempts, facility issues, and other security-related concerns to site leadership.

• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thu 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
