Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Specialist) for our West Jefferson, NC location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service using computer or tablet tools as needed.

The role emphasizes a visible security presence at an aerospace manufacturing site, with a focus on safety, compliance, and reliable shift reporting. Applicants must meet minimum requirements and pass background and drug screenings.

Qualifications

• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and promptly communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, offices, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access to the facility by checking credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and assisting with compliance with site access requirements.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment.
