Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer in Shreveport, LA. You will monitor access, patrol facilities, and provide professional customer service to staff and visitors while upholding site policies and safety protocols.

Position is full-time with a consistent 2 PM–10 PM shift pattern; prior law enforcement or military police experience is valued. A background check and drug screening are required as part of employment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Must be 18+ years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Background check in accordance with federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and communicate site entry requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and designated operational areas, reporting unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established chemical and petrochemical facility protocols.
• Document daily activities, incidents, observations, and patrol findings in required reports, and promptly notify appropriate site contacts of concerns.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. Drawing on your law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience, you will support site operations through attentive observation, incident reporting, and exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $15.76 / Hour

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
